Dear Friends of St. Francis Xavier Parish School,

Another week has flown by and with it a reminder, to yours truly, that I have exactly two more weeks to try to empty my bottomless shirt pocket. Wish me luck!

Note #1 - “What a Beautiful Memory!”
I have found that many of the traditional celebrations and activities held here at SFX School have been very beneficial. Taking top honors, in the “Religiously Moving” category, for me, was last Wednesday’s Memorial Mass. It was absolutely one of the most moving experiences I’ve witnessed since becoming the school’s principal. Thanks to my predecessors who established and carried on this beautiful tradition.

Note #2 – “Our Mrs. Wallington Checks In!”
I received a phone call recently from Mrs. Kathryn Wallington, our parish Choir Director and former, long time, Music Teacher for our school. Kathryn made me aware of an upcoming recital involving the students that she teaches voice and piano lessons to privately. Some of those students have a St. Francis Xavier School connection. They are current sixth grader, Victoria Potts, and alumni, Emily Jones, Elizabeth Potts, and Rosemary Targosky.
The recital is scheduled for Sunday, June 6th, @7:00 PM, in Xavier Hall. All are welcome to come!

Note #3 – from the “We Couldn’t, nor would we want to, Do It without You Dept!”
On Wednesday, June 2nd, the entire school community will take time to recognize and thank the many Volunteers that have shared their time and talents with us this year. We are asking that these spirit-led folks attend both the All School Liturgy @ 8:20 and a Communion Breakfast, sponsored by our Student Council, immediately following the Mass in Xavier Hall. Invitations are being sent out this week and an RSVP would be appreciated.

Note #4– “When the 4th Quarter Has Ended”
Report cards may be picked up at the school office beginning on Tuesday, June 15th through Friday, June 18th. The school office hours, during that week, will be from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Note #5 – “Summer Office Hours”
The School Office will begin its summer schedule on June 21st and continue it through July 30th. During these six weeks, the office will be open for business on Mondays through Thursdays @ 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Note #6– “When Junk Becomes Treasures!”
Just as a reminder, the Parish Church and School are holding a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 19th, in Xavier Hall. Donated items for sale are still being accepted by our co-chairpersons, Julie and Ruth Anderson. If you need help in bringing your items to the Rectory garages just call Julie @ 304-845-6808 or Ruth @ 304-845-1650. Thank You!

God Bless You and Yours,
Mr. B (Sharp)
