Religion, prayer, and Gospel values are an integral part of every school day. School begins with prayer and the "Pledge of Allegiance." Class changes begin with prayer. Prayer is said before and after lunch. The school day also ends with prayer. Our daily prayer calls to mind God's love and His Presence.
Students attend Mass on Wednesdays, on holy days of obligation, and on other special occasions. They actively participate in the preparation of these liturgies. Prayer services are conducted at school for special events and during Advent and Lent. Catholic students also participate in the Sacrament of Penance several times during the year.
Religion classes are taught every day to all students and Christian values permeate lessons taught in all classes. Our Catholic Christian identity can be found throughout the school building and in every aspect of school life.
Students in 2nd grade prepare for the Sacraments of Penance and First Communion as part of their religion class. Students in 7th & 8th grades prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which takes place every other year.
