Parent participation is one of the greatest assets at St. Francis Xavier School. We take great pride in the talents and time our parents give to the children through service to the school. St. Francis welcomes the donation of time, ideas, services, useful items, and monetary gifts (e.g. for a child's tuition, scholarship fund, annual appeal).
Parents sign a Covenant at the beginning of each year, which demonstrates a unity among the home, the parish, and the school in identity, purpose, and mission. Parents can choose to support St. Francis Xavier School through:
- Participation in the School Board, PTO, and Sports Boosters
- Positive reinforcement of the concepts taught in the classroom.
- Involvement in special school activities such as field trips, classroom celebrations, fund raising, and so forth.
- Participation at school as a volunteer "Helper" - homeroom parent, library, hot lunch, classroom aide, classroom reader.
Parent-requested conferences are welcomed by the staff. We do ask, however, that a 24 hour notice be given to the teacher.
